What a fabulous read! Very funny, sad and devastating in parts. To lay bare your personal life is a credit to this author and if her life story helps others facing similar situations then I’m sure she’ll achieve her aim. She is so strong yet very funny. She is a remarkable and inspiring woman.
I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
I literally laughed out loud so many times reading about Irene’s real life antics such as accidentally drinking her youngest sons wee among many other hilarious and brutally honest moments. I didn’t want this book to end and I hope she comes out with more books in the near future.

Wow what an amazing debut book definitely written from the heart and soul. The book will have you laughing out loud one minute and crying the next. I love Irene’s writing style, easy to read and you just won’t want to put it down.

I laughed out loud. I bawled my eyes out. I read it as slowly as I could so it wouldn’t end. She writes so fluidly….. it’s like having a friend in a room with you. She is inspirational but not in a cheesy way. This book will make you want to live a bit better and I really want her to write another one!
I recommend that you don’t start reading this book if you haven’t got the time to finish it in one sitting as once you start you won’t want to put it down. I also recommend tissues to hand for the tears of sadness and laughter. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. What an inspiration this author is!
Amazing. Such a heartfelt and brutely honest read. You will not be able to put it down. It will make you laugh, cry, laugh some more and even cry while laughing. I love it so much that I’m going to read it again and again and that’s not something I’ve ever done before with a book. It’s so many things rolled into one but most of all it’s relatable and it’s honest. Can’t wait for the next one from this exceptional new author.
